WOODTURNING STUDIO
Mullins Woodworks
About Mullins Woodworks
Mullins Woodworks is a small woodworking shop located in West Central Minnesota. In the mid 1980's we started crafting furniture and home decor for the local market. Later a wood lathe was added... and everything changed. Woodturning took over the shop!
Although we still make furniture from time to time, we specialize in woodturning, and our main focus is handcrafting wooden bowls while sharing our craft through teaching and community outreach.
In 2014 a new studio shop was built, providing a bright, spacious learning environment. We only use modern, high quality tools & equipment, and each student will enjoy working with their own set of tools.
Classes
Woodturning classes offered by Mullins Woodworks are held in our studio shop in rural New Prairie Township near Cyrus, MN and Milan Village Arts School in Milan, MN as well as various venues in the region. We are set up to be mobile and are happy to travel. You are invited to visit the Milan Village Arts School website to learn about woodturning classes Steve teaches there.
All classes are intended for adult students age 16 and older, but please see our Policies page for exceptions. Contact Us for information about special classes for younger students.
We offer one and two day classes at our Cyrus location. Although classes can be held anytime during the week, most one day classes are held on Saturdays, and two day classes are held Saturdays and Sundays. Classes run from 9AM to 5PM Saturdays, and 9AM to 4PM Sundays. Please Contact Us if you are interested in classes requiring special times or dates.
Group classes are limited to 4 students. This insures plenty of individual attention and abundant elbow room for everyone. Group rates are available. We are also happy to accommodate smaller groups and those interested in private lessons. Contact Us for more info.
We provide all necessary tools and equipment for each class. Material and supplies are also included, however, students will need to bring their own safety face shield and it must be worn during class.
